Christmas is only 4 days away! Many families have traditional dishes that they prepare for the holidays, and between the shopping, wrapping, and decorating, it’s tough to find time to find new recipes to bring into your traditions.
This year, we have you covered! We’ve compiled a list of some of our favorite recipes, to give you some ideas!
- Peppermint Brittle
- Ingredients:
- 2 Pounds of White Chocolate
- 30 Small Peppermint Candy Canes
- Directions:
- Line a large jellyroll pan with heavy-duty foil.
- Place white chocolate in microwave-safe bowl. Heat in microwave on medium setting for 5-6 minutes. Stir occasionally, until chocolate is melted and smooth.
- Place candy canes in a plastic bag, or between two pieces of waxed paper. Using a mallet or rolling pin, break the candy canes into small chunks. Stir peppermint into melted white chocolate. Spread evenly in pan, chill until set (about 1 hour). Break into pieces by slamming pan onto counter.

- Christmas Brunch Casserole
- Ingredients:
- 1 Pound of Bacon
- 2 Onions, Chopped
- 2 Cups of Fresh, Sliced Mushrooms
- 1 Tablespoon of Butter
- 4 Cups of Frozen Hash Brown Potatoes, thawed
- 1 Teaspoon of Salt
- ¼ Teaspoon Garlic Salt
- ½ Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
- 4 Eggs
- 1 ½ Cups Milk
- 1 Pinch Dried Parsley
- Directions:
- 1 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Directions: - Place bacon in a large skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain and set aside. Add the mushrooms and onion to the skillet; cook and stir until the onion has softened and turned translucent and the mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish with the tablespoon of butter. Place potatoes in bottom of prepared dish. Sprinkle with salt, garlic salt, and pepper. Top with crumbled bacon, then add the onions and mushrooms.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs with the milk and parsley. Pour the beaten eggs over the casserole and top with grated cheese. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat Oven to 400 Degrees
- Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour or until set
- 1 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Ingredients:
- Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes
- Ingredients:
- 4 Russet Potatoes, Sliced into ¼ Inch Slices
- 1 Onion, Sliced into Rings
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 3 Tablespoons all-purpose Flour
- ½ Teaspoon of Salt
- 2 Cups Milk
- 1 ½ Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Butter a 1-quart casserole dish.
- Layer 1/2 of the potatoes into bottom of the prepared casserole dish. Top with the onion slices, and add the remaining potatoes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a medium-size saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Mix in the flour and salt, and stir constantly with a whisk for one minute. Stir in milk. Cook until mixture has thickened. Stir in cheese all at once, and continue stirring until melted, about 30 to 60 seconds. Pour cheese over the potatoes, and cover the dish with aluminum foil.
- Bake 1 1/2 hours in the preheated oven.

- Green Beans with Almonds
- Ingredients:
- 2 Pounds Fresh Green Beans, Washed and Trimmed
- 2 Slices of Bacon
- ¼ Cup Sliced Almonds
- Directions:
- Remove both ends of beans, break in half, and wash thoroughly.
- Place in a large pot and add water 3 to 4 inches from the top. Add bacon and cook until tender.
- Remove bacon from cooking water and discard. Remove beans and place in a large bowl, add almonds and toss. Serve Hot.
