Do you ever find yourself wishing that when you had to tow something a long distance that you could actually ride in comfort in a stylish vehicle that made you proud to call it your own? Seems like a lot of other people are wishing the same thing because it seems like the time for luxury trucks has come. Ford just announced the Platinum Superduty a few days ago, but did you know that Ram has had a luxury truck available for a year now? They call it the Long Horn Laramie and boy what a truck this is!
Let’s start with the guts of this thing. Ram has been known for building tough trucks for a long time. This one is no exception. The 6.7L Cummins Turbo diesels is a workhorse, it brings power and durability whether you are working or playing. The best thing about this diesel is it will tow pretty much whatever you hook it up to. 22,750 lbs of towing capacity…an average elephant weighs 2,000 pounds, so the Ram could tow 22 ELEPHANTS! I don’t know about you – but I would LOVE to see that!!
You probably already know how tough the truck is and what its capable of, so let’s get on to the good stuff, the luxury. Ram did not skimp when they put together the Long Horn Laramie package. The seating is 100% high quality leather with etching in the bolsters, giving it an authentic western look. The front seats have unique leather seatbacks that have flap-closure pockets which look like saddlebags. Each pocket is secured with silver steer-logoed, tooled-metal buckle with a magnetic clasp. The cabin is complimented by real woodgrain trim throughout.
They didn’t stop the upgrades with the seats, the instrument panel has been given the look and feel of the west, looking like hand wrought jewelry. The six liquid chrome gauge rings stand out against the taupe silver background and tooled metal Longhorn badge inside the left hand ring. The dash is trimmed in burled walnut wood grain to match the color of the interior theme. I could go on all day trying to describe how wonderful the interior is, but words just don’t do it justice. You really need to experience it for yourself.
We have Ram 2500 Longhorn Laramies in stock, so its a great time to see this tough workhorse at Waldorf Dodge. If you find yourself in Southern Maryland stop in and see us. We are located on Route 301 North in Waldorf just 15 minutes south of Washington DC.
